  1. Is it possible to get a daily snowfall report for Valatie NY, from December 4th 2008 to February 20th , 2009 ? Thank you

  2. General, I remember when I worked at a store and it was the same thing. Of course with an ice storm being a possibility I can’t say I blame them for stocking up. I use to get yelled at every now and then (when I got caught)because we weren’t suppose to leave the store parking lot when we too out the groceries for the people. The problem was that right across the street was a building with senior citizens who sometimes needed help getting across the busy street and getting their groceries up the stairs. Back then I wasn’t very good with rules and would end up carting the groceries to a few of the older ladies who needed help getting them back to their apartments.

Weather wise nothing happening here yet šŸ˜‰

  3. about an inch of very wet snow here in Buffalo. Just got done melting it all away yesterday and a fresh coat is already back down.

Still not much of a change in the forcast other then the wait and see how this precip actually falls game.

Think I’m gonna head into work now (4 hours early) to try and get some stuff done before the panic shoppers comming charging in the doors!

  4. Nothing in the Cuse area so far but it looks like the temps are finally starting to drop. It’s down to 48 degrees now at 1:45 am.

The temp in Buffalo is 34 and the Rock is at 36 so some snow might be able to come down for a little while. NOAA for Bingo isn’t up to date with temps so I haven’t a clue. Bed time and it should be interesting to see what we all wake up to. I think it might be advantage Buffalo and Rochester and hopefully it’s snow.

  5. ZR, for whatever reason when I copy and paste the link from here it gets cut off and doesn’t post the full link. Something to do with Google Blogger and I don’t think there is a fix for it or at least I am not aware of one. The link Adam posted is the right one though. Try this and see if it works.

General, I’m also a little worried about this one coming through and the potential for the ice buildup. I just can’t believe the moisture this thing is pulling in from everywhere šŸ™

  6. Winter Storm Warning up for most of CNY, including Syracuse.

Buffalo is loking to hold off the upgrade to an advisory/warning until later in the overnight.

Still really up in the air as to what we will see tomorrow night, but it has the potential to be a rather major ice storm for a good part of WNY and even into CNY now.

  7. Adam, thanks for the info. Jeez, I looked at Erie,Pa and even have them bookmarked but whatever sites I was looking at had the population under 100,000 but after looking again it’s what you say. Erie, Pa is right up there at 85.8 inches.

I do have the list of city snowfall averages I think up until 2006. I don’t think I have found the 2007 one yet but when I looked they probably didn’t have it out yet. Yes to just cities with a population over 100,000 which would eliminate Flagstaff and thanks again Adam.

  8. Patrick,

Erie, PA (city population – 101,737, metro population – 279,811) has an annual snowfall average of 88.8 inches.

    and…

Flagstaff, AZ (city population – 58,213, metro population – 124,953) has an average annual snowfall of 100.3 inches.

I included the metro populations because I didn’t know if Flagstaff would count because they have a city population of under 100,000.

You may have seen this link but it has a good list of cities and their respective snowfall averages.
