  1. I just posted a new blog and no doubt things are getting pretty close General.

ZR, 8.2 showing for Buffalo and 5.5 I think it was for Rochester. I just looked at the airport stats and it looks like at least another 2 inches for Buffalo since then and about an inch for the Rock.

Ayuud, I have a feeling you will be getting between 10 – 17 inches more added to your totals come tomorrow.

  2. Buffalo Is Buried Under 14 Inches Of Snow And We Are Expecting Another 2-4 This Afternoon And 5-8 This Evening And That Would Bring Snow Totals To 21-26 Range And Now That Is A Whole Lot Of Snow.

Pics Will Be Uploaded When This Storm Is Over

  3. 1:30AM Update: Not really any more accum. Still about 4″ here in the ROC.

Yes, I traveled back from Mass yesterday and it was clear until I got to Canandaigua around 3:30 and it was just starting to spit at that time.

If Buffalo got 10″ yesterday they could certainly have pulled past ROC!

Might be a bit premature to start talking about schools being closed Monday, but anything is possible.

  4. Live From Buffalo >>>>>>

We Picked about 10 inches here in buffalo with 2-4 additional and 6-10 tommorow then 4-6 tommorow night
by the time this storm is over.. the snow accumalation in buffalo would range from 18-28 and thats a lot of snow And Btw One Of You But I Dont Remember If It Was Patrick Or General Has Predicted Buffalo Season Snowfall Around 105 whoever that was is a brilliant forecaster..

see ya later and i will get more pics to follow

P.s:Is There A Possibility That The Buffalo Public Schools Be Closed On Monday

  5. ZR, did you get out of town? If so how was the trip home? Had to be a lot of rain I would think. Hopefully KaChing will be happening for you with this storm.

General, the WC was mentioning the blizzard watches and warnings. How are the winds in Buffalo? I think come tomorrow the winds are suppose to pick up so it could get intersting around the western cities.

I’m just hoping that Rochester and Buffalo keep it going. I want this race to be within a few inches come Sunday night. I don’t think Syracuse is expecting much until maybe tomorrow evening and night.

It looks like Rochester might get a break and even Buffalo but I think it might be a short break for Buffalo as long as the white gold stays east enough 🙂

OH, and this sucks just watching it 🙁 I wanna play too!!! Nothing going on around here what so ever.

  6. yes I heard TWC was hear to watch this storm play out. I’m gonna leave your post as I have little more to add. Buffalo area looks to get rocked the best I’m thinking a total storm accumulation around 15-20 inches. Maybe 12-16 around Rochester.

I’ll be leaving around noon tomorrow so I should be posting before then.

  7. 9PM Update: Moderate to heavy snow and about 3″ on the ground here in the ROC. Will update around 1:30am

  8. General, the weather channel is in Buffalo and just showed the weather there live. GO BUFFALO!!! GO ROCHESTER!!! Feel free to over ride my post from earlier if you want to General 😉

Enjoy the snow and the wedding and hopefully it won’t be towards Syracuse where the snow will be minimal.

  9. Buffalo has a daily record snowfall as of 5pm of 5.2 inches (up to 82.3 for the season).

Rochester has 1.9 inches as of 5pm (up to 86.5 for the season).

Rochester and Buffalo should both see another 2-5 inches tonight before things slow down from part 1 of this storm.

Things will get interesting tomrrow as part 2 heads our way with another foot of snow possible and POTETINAL BLIZZARD CONDITIONS with the winds. Unfourtunetly I am *scheduled* to be somewhat out of town for a wedding tomorrow. Not sure how thats going to work out.. the girlfirend is planning to go and spend the night come hell or high water… so yeah I’ll be out of the office tomororw 🙁 missing all the fun weather happenings.

I’ll drop a post later tonight and maybe sometime tomorrow. STAY SAFE ALL!

  10. Thanks Anon! I think this is going to be the real deal for Rochacha and Buffalo this time round. Just a light drizzle of rain here in DaCuse.

I was looking at Accuweather which I really don’t look at too much but they have something that says Weather Alarm for both cities. Check it out at

    http://www.accuweather.com/forecast.asp?partner=rs_syracuse&traveler=1&zipChg=1&zipcode=14201&metric=0

It says snow-13.5 in occurring for buffalo and 8.8 for Rochester.
