Past Snow Seasons Champs
This new section is probably one of the coolest on the site for the fact that it compares all the Golden Snowball cities dating back to the 1940 – 41 season; Remember the snow contest didn’t start until the late 70’s by meteorologists in Rochester; That’s what I think is pretty cool is we get to go back and see who would of won if the GSB contest started way back in the 40’s; This section all happened thanks to Steve Madsen who resides in Buffalo and took the time to gather all the stats from NOAA and put them together. A Big Thanks Steve for the hard work 🙂

It seems like historical data is missing after 2019, are you able to update so we can see the past few seasons?
I would love to see the totals from the last few years. Great website!
Can you update the 2019-20, 20-21, and 21-22 totals on the past snow season list?
Hi Lisa, I will do my best to get that updated this week. It’s just been a matter of I don’t have the time that I use to have 🙁 Thanks for the reminder though 🙂
Check the ’64-’65 results.
Hello, where can I find the 2017-2018 end of year totals for all 5 cities? Thank you! Vic
You can’t Vic but I will get it up this week 😉 If not, post again to remind me 😉
Any progress on the 2017-18 results? Thank very much!
It should be up to date now Dustin and Vic.
Check out Stracuse in your list at 1979-1980.
Pingback: "Snow Stories" - Winter 2015/2016. - Page 15 - Snowblower Forum : Snow Blower Forums
I’m looking for the 2014-2015 numbers. The prior champs info ends at 2013-2014. Or am I missing something?
No, you’re not missing anything Nelson, I was and Thanks for the heads up. I just added last seasons snow stats to the past winners page.
Looks like 1965-65 belongs to Syracuse, not Binghamton:
1964-65 45.8 76.4 70.9 71.1 97.3 *Binghamton*
Thanks for the heads up Gene. I’ll take a look and make sure I didn’t get the numbers wrong when I transferred all of that data from another page. There is a lot that needs to be updated on that page. Thanks again 🙂
