  1. Anon, No! The way I understand it and I could be wrong and it won’t be the first time, all of the cities measure the snow the same way and report in intervals of hourly, 3 hours and 6 hours. In other words by measuring every hour, they will also be reporting the 6 hour period.

So on the chart there will be a spot for 1 hour readings, 3 hour reading and 6 hour readings.

  2. A guy from the National weather service was just on the weather channel talking about how to measure snow. He said that you should only measure snow every 5 or 6 hours, NOT every hour.

Doesn’t that mean that the way Syracuse measures snow at Hancock is wrong?

  3. The General made both of them. I’m not sure how though. I’m sure he will stop by and explain 😉 I agree to the thumbs up on the video’s!

  4. I love YouTube 🙂

Both of these were great, and I know I’ll be passing them along… On the first one tho’, it’s the first time I’ve ever noticed the counter going *down* instead of up!

Thanks for sharing these ~thumbs up icon here~
