One comment on “Snow For All the Cities

  1. snowballman, you asked awhile back why pick Camillus and not another town near Syracuse to measure the snowfall for Syracuse?

    http://www.erh.noaa.gov/bgm/spotters_skywarn/snow_final0506.html

This website shows Camillus had only 59 inches in one location and 75 inches in another location. Meanwhile the Syracuse airport had close to 140 inches of snow in the same year.

So yes, Camillus would be a good location to measure snowfall in Syracuse if you looking to get the lowest annual snowfall in Onondaga County.

It’s amazes me how the Syracuse Airport location is in the perfect spot in Onondaga County to get the most snow. Most other parts of Onondaga County don’t get nearly as much snow as at the Syracuse Airport.
