  1. Mike, I’ll take another dusting of 6 inches of lake effect. The winds are pretty nuts here. Gusts are only showing around 35 mph but the direction and how it’s slamming into the house makes it sound like around 60 mph. Upstairs where my room is has sounded like a train station for about the last few hours now 🙁

  2. patrick, surprisingly, and greatfully(for skiers, like me) we are not expecting much rain from tonights sytem, only about a quater inch, temps will surge briefly, allowing maybe 2-4 inches of snow to melt. then there is a chance for les this week(prbably not heavy). as for you first question, looks like the storms will come across the southern tier of the country, perhaps on a track from say colorado, to missouri then across maryland/pa and up the coast; however there is also a chance for some Gulf storms too; its really too early to tell.

  3. Mike, coming from the west or from the gulf like it’s been? A ton of precip coming our way again and once again warm air to keep it rain. The thing that is bugging me the most about this season is that we get snow only to have it wiped out by the rain.

We got around 5 inches at my house over night Friday and come tomorrow most likely it will be gone. Pretty depressing 🙁 Lets hope your right 🙂

  4. im starting to think we see a snowier end to winter, perhaps starting the last week in february, if not right around mach 1st; and if everything comes together right we could see a kind of “storm train” like people in wisconsin have been seeing most of the winter. we could see major snow storms at least once a week for 3-4 weeks, this is all speculation of course, but the signs are there!!!!
