  1. Shane, I talked to my brother in-law in Poughkeepsie earlier and he was saying pretty much the same thing although they were expecting maybe a few inches of snow.

Wasn’t this the same time that NYC got their blizzard last year?

  2. Down in NYC this is our first accumulating snow of the year. Mostly sleet though; about 3″ i guess of mixed precip. Funny, just last night the forecasters were saying 1″ of RAIN today. Didn’t rain a drop (at least in uptown Manhattan) all day!

  3. A short driveway here Jill but it seemed like a mile long shoveling it today and tonight 🙁 The neighbors son across the street was nice enough to do two of the womens driveways in the neighborhood, twice.

Anon, All I can say is if that was 10 inches that I just got through shoveling then I would hate to see what 11 inches would look like. I agree with Jill, it will be interesting to see what tomorrows stats bring.

  4. I’m not happy that we (Buffalo) are still behind, but it’s fun to see some excitement going on 🙂

I didn’t look up any stats, but all the drivers at work were saying that the Niagara Falls area was getting pretty hammered…

I just measured what I got in my yard (in the non-drift areas), and I got just under 12-1/2″. But to be fair, I actually live in Lockport… Thank goodness for snowblowers and really nice neighbors with loader/backhoes (I have a pretty long driveway) 😛

I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
