  1. Patrick,
82 degrees in North Kakilacki on Februrary 25 to 28, then Spring reared its ugly head back up. All I can say on your behalf is " go Cuse " rising up to that 200 inch level. And as always " go ORANGE " on the hardwoods and lax field. Take care dude.

  2. Hey General, good to see your alive and kick 🙂 Hopefully everything is going good for you.

No doubt Buffalo had it's worse year in a long time as far as near misses go. I was watching you closely through Dec and Jan and seen how hard it was coming down most of the time all around the airport.

As for Syracuse I think this is one of the few seasons where the city may actually have gotten more than our airport. If not it was at least a wash with the way the storms have been. Take care man 🙂

  3. Wow! Going to be a nail bitter this year to see if the cuse can overtake Buffalo's record. I'll say they get to 197 and fall just short, once again :p! For as brutal as this winter has been I can't believe how PATHETIC Buffalo has been! If only the airport was 3-4 miles farther south we would be right in the thick of the leader boards! Go figure South Buffalo get's paralyzed in early December with 4 feet and all the airport can show is 6 inches! As the Buffalo sports slogan goes… "there's always next year"!

  4. It definitely seemed like more than 13.4 inches in Jamesville. I didn't take a measurement, but it looked to me like two feet in areas. Definitely more than my snowblower was built for.

  5. Lol, you got it Stephen. A little strange seeing Buffalo in 4th place this late in the season :))

Grumpy, that's a lot of snow. I'm glad that I got some of it done late last night. I borrowed the neighbors snow blower a little while ago and it struggled a little in spots but it sure beat shoveling it.

Eric, I wonder if NYCO, the keeper of the snow god has it out this season. I think if she di have it out she probably put him/her away by now.

  6. I just spent an hour clearing it (with the 35hp diesel tractor and 1600lb loader). even that wasn't enough. well over two feet in spots.

  7. Grumpy, I just looked and I see storm totals for Bingo at 17 inches. Not sure if it is a spotter though or official NOAA stats. My guess is that Binghamton won this round and I would love to see you drop Buffalo down to 4th palce :)))

No offense to Buffalonians of course 😉

  8. Grumpy, I'm sure there is a lot more to add to Bingo. That was just yesterdays snowfall and not the overnight snow which was heavier 😉

  9. Crysania and Deb, if I were abetting man, ummm which I am I suppose, I would bet that we are at #4 now also.

When the airport came out with the stats at 10 pm they were about 3 inche less than what I measured at my house just outside of East Syracuse. That had me a little worried about reaching the #4 spot at the airport. I feel better now that I see the 7.1 inches for yesterday 😉

  10. Eric, I haven't has to do a snow dance all year. If I jinx us I have 2 snow dances left to pull it off 🙂 The Snow God must be controlling this winter.

  11. I'd say you'll take over the #4 spot as soon as you update this morning. Come on, UPDATE! : )

  12. I'm going to hazard a guess and say we moved into #4 last night. I'm still stuck, can't even leave my road because it hasn't been plowed!
