  1. Yeah that has to be it … NOAA shows 0.7 precipitation for 4/5 but only trace for snowfall. I’ll bet they counted most of what we got as rainfall because it melted when it hit the ground.

  2. I have to wonder if ROC has stopped reporting snowfall for the year already. I was at ROC Airport all day Sunday and there was a steady falling of snow all day … not much stuck to the ground though ( does it have to stick to the ground to be counted ? )

    • Bruce, I would assume it would have to stick so they have something to measure. I think if the base that they use to catch the snow was too warm or wet then it would be like you mentioned, melting when it hits the ground.
