  1. The Lake Erie advantage is over for Buffalo. Ice cover went from roughly 10% last week to over 88% as of Wednesday. With yet another night in the single digits tonight we should be closing in on total ice coverage by the end of the week. Gonna be tough for Buffalo to hang onto that lead now unless spring decides to arrive super early this year…

  2. If they only measured the snow 2 miles south of the airport buffalo would have a huge lead. 125 inches so far this year in Lancaster which sits 1.5 miles southeast of where the measurements are taken

    • Yes Lancaster and several other cities have been getting pounded Angelo. It’s not too often that I hope or pray for it to stop snowing but when that crazy, scary amount of snow was falling earlier in the season I was doing both. Too dangerous and nothing fun about that much snow all at once…

    • Thanks T.W. for taking the time. It’s just what I was looking for 🙂 Go Syracuse, lol

        • I’m with you on that T.W. 🙂 Hopefully one of the three cny/western NY cities take it… Still have to throw Rochester in there even though they have been quiet so far this season too…
